The rags were right about Edwards...being the lone remaining righty on the boards (Mgmax has found a new home), even I will concede that this is silly.
Speaking of Edwards I was talking to someone the other day who reminded me about the Christopher Reeve comments that DB stated in 2004. How did that work out John?
I find it sad that we live in a society where Obama's being a Muslim would indeed be some kind of shocking, horrible, campaign-ending thing. If we can let people who believe in something as weird as Christianity run the country, I figure any other Abrahamic religion would be about the same.
I can't decide which headline is more imbecilic. The Obama headline panders to the lowest of the lowest common denominator; it really belongs in the serw. The simplistic BS from Time - why don't they mention the lack of oversight by Congress over Freddie and Fannie, coupled with the push by Congress to aggressively pursue high risk mortgages, and the threat of punishment to the banks that didn't play the game - I don't expect to see any of that in Time.
I don't know how they've gained the strength (maybe pure intellect) but TIME has somehow become the saviors of the planet. Superhumans Joe Klein and Co. have led us into an age where every problem, no matter how monumentally terrifying, can be solved by simply reading TIME. Take a look at some of these cover stories and you'll understand:

"How to Stop a New Cold War"
"How to Win the War on Global Warming"
"How to Make Better Teachers"
"How to Solve the Gas Crisis"
