Well that's really what it will be now, won't it? If she's getting this much play now, who's going to focus on McCain when he's President?
By the way, Jeff, your frequent posts make me ambiently aware of you.
How would you like to listen that twanging banjo voice for the next four years? She sounds like a young MILF version of Margaret Hamilton in the Wizard of Oz. "How do ye like that, my pretties? What a world, what a world, all my beautiful evil . . ."
"The "Palin/McCain administration" is truly fully supportive of and is owned by the corporations that the are crushing every type of small business."
This has been my biggest beef with the Republican party over the past eight years or so. They became the party of big business and religion. However I don't blame them solely for the disappearance of the small business owner. Consumers have made the decisions to shop at WalMart instead of the little guy because of price and proximity. Why shop at three smaller stores when you can buy everything cheaper under one roof?
Also it's 10x easier to start a small business in the United States vs. other more socialist countries like the UK or France. High taxes, regulations, health care, shortened work weeks, out of control unions have actually pushed the small business owner out of those countries.
"Consumers have made the decisions to shop at WalMart instead of the little guy because of price and proximity. Why shop at three smaller stores when you can buy everything cheaper under one roof?"
To be fair to the Mom and Pops, it's hard to sell their wares at Wal-Mart's prices, and still make a living.

That's weird, because last time I checked, American corporations *like* European countries *precisely* because those multi-nationals don't have to foot the bill for health care.

It is awful. Because unfortunately, our country has been sold on the idea that its bad and sub par service by insurance companies. That profit off of our health. We're sold everything here: religion, politics, health care, body image, etc. All in the name of profit at all cost. And no one seems to even care that we are all constantly marketed to towards that goal.
Going into Wellsian absolutes here but: Anyone that uses the abbreviation "MILF" for Palin, given her annoying, nagging, "look at me! I'm hip AND funny!" nature must now be seen as having an Oedipus complex that extends beyond the pale.
I find it fitting that the only person who would consider being with this lying, hypocritical, tartish sack of shit on a daily basis is a snowmobile racer.

Palin is an ordinary person with all the strengths and weaknesses that adjective conveys. That is why people respond to her.
I have it on good authority Republican high command is delighted with the anger she is fuelling among dems. Every negative word about Palin/ four more years of bush nonsense is one less word about the positive benefits of obama. People don't like hearing that and that is why, despite the state of the country, mccain will get elected.

"Every negative word about Palin/ four more years of bush nonsense is one less word about the positive benefits of obama. People don't like hearing that and that is why, despite the state of the country, mccain will get elected."
Every negative word from Democrats is hurting them? Bullshit. The reason they lost the last two elections is because negative and false campaiging is the only play in the Republican's book and the Democrats have been too weak an idealistic to sink to their level. All they talked about with Kerry was his policies and the benefits it would bring, and crummy smear tactics on the right won it in the end anyway.
People want it this time. They're angry. The only people it bothers are the assholes voting for Palin either way.
And please stop using this term "ordinary" - I love it when the Republican talking points throw that one out there.
Good ol' down home ordinary folk. Yeee fucking haw!
Bring on the elitism. I for one don't want a President with weaknesses - they're running the country, they're not running Walmart. They should have some intelligence to draw on.
The only time Cheney's in the news is when he shot someone accidentally while hunting or when his lesbian daughter is making waves.
I'm not saying Cheney's totally behind the scenes, but lets be real. VPs are virtual non-entitys ...
The fact that McCain's an old 72 is cause for concern if he's elected. Having this chick in the White House as the leader of the free world is frightening.
For all its faults, Idiocracy is continually prescient. Just when I thought the Republicans couldn't endorse a dumber candidate than Bush, we get Palin.

Well, she gets so much more attention than the guy who's actually running for president, i don't blame her for starting to believe she is the one.
And yea, the Republicans will help small businesses. Of course if you makes less than 5 million a year, you are a small business to them. Jerks.

I'm surprised people have let the Republicans get away with this Country First motto.
Shouldn't it be God First?
Family Second?
Hometown Third?
Of course, if I were picking easy slogans for the Republicans, it would be
Self First
The Republican Party First
Fox News First
Big Business First
Hypocrisy First
Tax Cuts for My Kind First
Everything Else Last
