I would have preferred a clip of Palin himself offering some sort of present-tense evaluation of his Oval Office qualifications. The best thing about this ad is the site and concept behind it. All it boils down to otherwise is a career clip reel...blah.

Even Graham Chapman would make a better president than Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin ain't a hockey mom. She hasn't had time for that nonsense any year recently. Her husband Todd Palin is the hockey mom in that family.

I was in and out of consciousness - half-awake and half-asleep - when I first saw the Sarah Palin announcement that Friday morning. I had left the television on overnight, as I had hoped to find out the VP pick before I went to sleep. Alas, I drifted off before the news leaked.
And how did my bleary-eyed confusion register at the first sight of the name?
Palin...Dwalin...Balin...did McCain choose one of Tolkien's dwarves from The Hobbit as his VP? I might be the only nerd in the world who made that association.

While we're on the subject of Python political commentaries, here's a recent classic from Eric Idle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4ajZ-5kTXk&feature=related
