Cloverfield [BLU-RAY] (Paramount Home Entertainment, 6.3.2008) Disguised under deliberately goofy, yet deliciously edible-sounding, aliases such as Cheese and Slusho, Matt Reeves' Cloverfield was produced and rushed into theaters under an equally appetizing shroud of secrecy. From last year's incredibly elusive Super Bowl ad to the film's viral marketing campaign, Cloverfield had everybody scratching their heads and drooling in anticipation. Aside from the as-yet untitled title and the Blair Witch-ian visual style, the film's biggest appeal was the enigmatic creature who was last (un)seen hurling the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty onto the crowded streets of New York City. All we knew about the mysterious beast was that it was big and angry. Now that the highy-anticipated project has come and gone, one question has fortunately been answered: Cloverfield was a major success. (continued)

I feel like this has been going on for ten years, and we've all gotten steadily dumber over time, the candidates included.

This should end with, "i no longer know who I am, but I feel like the ghost of a total stranger."

Another sign McCain is ramping up the negative campaigning: in the last week the tally of his dishonesty called "Count the Lies" went from 80 to 105.

But, seems if the RNC and McCain's pack of attack poodles were counting on the usual Dem response, Obama is showing he will not be anyone's bitch. Not only has McCain given him a nice line to use ("That’s what you do when you’re out of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time."), but it gave the Obama camp the reason to finally run the ad most of us thought they should have run weeks ago: linking McCain's Charles Keating problems with the current crises.

Considering how much of a lying sack of shit McCain is willing to be in order to sit in the Oval Office, I'm ashamed to admit that 15 years ago he was one of 2 Republicans I said I could vote for if the Dems put up a lackluster candidate for Prez.

Guess I'm down to just Jack Kemp.

This is a great radio ad for Obama. It could make a difference in several states. Let's get it spread around so the "mainstream" media picks it up!!
