The traffic around West Hollywood is murder due to Santa Monica Blvd. having been shut down for tonight's Halloween festivities. I was in car hell for over two hours because of this. I recognize that the West Hollywood Highway Patrolmen didn't stop traffic just to mess with me alone, but it was nonetheless awful. I guess I'll wander around tonight and take pictures.

I can't agree more with scooterzz, I was there last year and it was a crowded, booze filled, disgusting affair, all the plants in the center divide were trampled and trash was everywhere. to make matters worse, one of my drunk friends was trying to buy ecstasy from a group of little asian chicks. I complained about him wanting drugs, and everyone said I was the wet blanket. what a joke.

I got stuck on SMB, coming back from the Edgar Wright screening of Shaun of the Dead/Story of Ricky[attended by John Landis, no less!], and it took me forever to get back home. The residential area around there is the worst, because if you're coming after ten, they won't let you make any turns in a lot of intersections, so it takes longer to park.

Due respect, but being stuck in a car for two hours is inconceivable to us residents of flyover country. Such a thing could only happen if, say, you got a heart attack in a parking lot. Even then, it's probable that some kindly citizen would have seen you and called for an ambulance before the hour was up. And yet, these conditions are commonplace among the vain, ignorant, and other-disparaging prisoners of our coastal gulags. Ha, ha, and suck it.
