Re Gary and Alec, I took it exactly the opposite way. I get the sense they really appreciate each others humor and genuinely like each other.
Alec did a fun interview with him for an extra the DVD of the Larry Sanders Show. They did the interview while sparring in a boxing ring, and the interview is actually quite interesting.
McCain's campaign has decided it can't hold back any longer and McCain's refusal to disavow the children and sex smear to the Des Moines Register should have been the tip off worse was coming.
This is only the beginning, its going to get much, much worse. McCain has already shown he will trash his reputation for this in small ways, now the big guns are coming out as it dawns on him he is losing and this is his last shot at the Presidency. We about to see the depths the GOP is willing to sink when pushed into a corner with too much time to realize it.
The nation would have been better served had it remained close until the end.
McCain and Palin had their chance to show up Obama and Biden, and they blew it. If this whole campaign's taught us anything, it's that resting on your laurels does not mean you're more qualified than anyone else. Hil and John probably thought what happened to Lieberman was an isolated incident, and that he just lost his popularity with his constituents; but he was just the beginning of the purge. Now I'm just waiting for Sheehan to give Pelosi a run for her money.
Sorry, but even I don't want Pelosi gone that bad.
Sheehan is a caricature of a clueless liberal. The whole Venezuela thing showed she is an idiot who doesn't know when she is being used and when she is actually hurting her cause.

Was it just me, or on last night's Real Time did Alec Baldwin and Gary Shandling look like and act they couldn't stand one another?

Sarah Palin tipped their hand today by spinning the David Ayers thing into "palling around with terrorists."

So she's no worse than Bush's base.
