If he wins: will Barack Obama be the American president with the most beautiful speaking voice in recorded history? Only Jimmy Carter comes close (If you like his southern twang). Ronald Reagan had a great speaking voice as actor and governor, although too staccato, and too trembling in his White House years. Clinton was gruff, the Bushes whiny, Nixon to nasal-y, Kennedy too high-pitched. Obama's voice is perfect in tone, timber and pronunciation. I want to him to read Americans a bed-time story every night.

cinemascopian might be onto something. In this age of immediate information why not Obama do a 5 minute state of the union every sunday night. Friendly, informational, and American.
The only thing you can say about his voice is that he stammers a bit. But on the other hand, it's a sign he's thinking the words he is saying and not merely reciting talking points by rote.
Shit, even if you think both candidates are the same (and I certainly don't), I'd think you'd vote Obama just so you don't have to listen to McCain's hoarse whistle (or worse yet, Palin's nasal drone) for the next four years.

I'm sure if you go back further there's someone comparable. FDR, maybe? Wilson?
