Cloverfield [BLU-RAY] (Paramount Home Entertainment, 6.3.2008) Disguised under deliberately goofy, yet deliciously edible-sounding, aliases such as Cheese and Slusho, Matt Reeves' Cloverfield was produced and rushed into theaters under an equally appetizing shroud of secrecy. From last year's incredibly elusive Super Bowl ad to the film's viral marketing campaign, Cloverfield had everybody scratching their heads and drooling in anticipation. Aside from the as-yet untitled title and the Blair Witch-ian visual style, the film's biggest appeal was the enigmatic creature who was last (un)seen hurling the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty onto the crowded streets of New York City. All we knew about the mysterious beast was that it was big and angry. Now that the highy-anticipated project has come and gone, one question has fortunately been answered: Cloverfield was a major success. (continued)

McCain's "legacy" is in tatters. His racist chickens have come home to roost no matter how harumphy his response,

He's a racist. How dare he run against Obama, the only logical explanation why someone would try to run for president against Obama is racism. There can be no other reason.

MDOC:

McCain may not be a racist... but it was hard to be sure at the most recent debate, when he told a black man in the audience that, with regard to the economic crisis, he'd "probably never heard of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac before this."

I wonder just WHAT it was about the guy that made McCain assume that this man... who had asked him to discuss the economy... couldn't have any idea what Fannie or Freddie are.

And town halls are supposed to be where McCain shines...

Hey, if they do more than insinuate that Obama is a terrorist, they deserve to have it right back in their faces.

Of course, I wouldn't expect you to understand that.
