Regrets
Nikki Finke revealed the the names of four publicists cut loose yesterday by PMK/HBH: Craig Bankey, Jennifer Holiner, Andy Snyder and Karen Oberman. I'm sorry. My heart goes out. If I ran a big company I'd never let people go just before the holidays. I wouldn't care how much I'd suffer financially -- I'd wait until January to chop heads. More humane that way.

The worst part of getting fired before Christmas is that nobody is serious about hiring until at least mid-Jan. Nobody wants to take meetings during the holidays. But at least you don't have to worry about putting out a fire on Christmas day when your star client gets busted for drunk driving and running over a living Nativity set.

That's a bummer... I really liked working with Karen at MPRM and when she made the move to PMK... She's smart and friendly and I'm sure she'll find a new job soon enough.
