This is old IMDB news, but the plot of Woody Allen's Whatever Works is about a May-December relationship (marriage?) between Larry David and Evan Rachel Wood, and her mother, played by Patricia Clarkson, somehow persuading a Manhattan-residing British actor, played by Henry Cavill, to try and seduce Wood in order to break up her marriage to David, whom Clarkson feels is too old for her daughter.

Here's a good question: If you were Evan Rachel Wood's parents, wouldn't Larry David (or Woody Allen, who he's theoretically standing in for) be an improvement over Marilyn Manson in the I Can't Believe Who My Daughter Is Screwing department?

There really shouldn't even be another season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. The last one was fairly weak but the ending was still fantastic, and should have been the series finale.

Burma: As long as LD wants to keep doing "Curb Your Enthusiasm," I"m fine with it. Even at its weaker points, it's still a damn sight funnier than 95 percent of the shows on TV.

Except for a couple of episodes in the middle (the one about Larry constantly going to the bathroom and the one with John McEnroe) I thought the last season of CURB was great. I thought the show had jumped the shark when Larry died and went to Heaven in the previous season, so it was a relief to see it bounce back last year.

Nice to see Cavill doing some cred work. According to Martin Campbell, he was the only other actor competing with Daniel Craig to take over the James Bond mantle. It was 50-50 in terms of what direction they wanted to go: keep Bond seasoned but make him grittier (Craig), or bring in a younger actor for a fresher take (in which case they would've cast Cavill). If he keeps his career healthy, he may very well land the role when Craig retires from it.
