Annual Suffering
Getting on a train up to Connecticut, and then driving up to Northern Siberia, New York -- i.e., west of Rochester -- tomorrow. It's going to be a howling frozen hell with lots of boredom thrown in, and too many calories. As an exercise, I'm going to take a picture of something on the way into Grand Central and post it from the moving train, using the AT&T Air Card.

One plus -- for a town its size, Rochester has a very good music scene. Not New York good, of course, but better than you might expect.

Took my cousin 6 hours to get from New York to Albany yesterday by train, weather up there sounds nuts. Hope you have better luck.

LexG, IIRC he said he was relocating to NYC for six months, maybe more, to be closer to his family. He moved here just after election day.

We have family and a friend arriving tomorrow for one full, cheerful house. I pity Jeff and his grouchy holiday "requirements."
Because, it's worst to be alone. And if you disagree, then keep to yourself and go see a movie instead of complaining about it. Of course, the cinemas this week will be filled with pregnant Hispanics I hear...
