Watch this and tell me there isn't at least a small part of you that doesn't enjoy watching George Bush duck as an Iraqi journalist throws not just one but two shoes at him, in tandem. "All I can report," Bush joked of the incident, "is a size 10."

Since he's such an unmistakable screw-up, obvious even to the Kool-Aid drinkers, Bush is unlikely to be able to command the speaking fees typical of a former president. But he should enjoy a lucrative future with this organization:

Maliki barely flinched. He must have a lot of faith in the accurate throwing arms of Iraqi journalists.

That doesn't make a small part of me happy. It makes a very large part of me happy.
Bush will be lucky if a shoe is the worst and only thing that is thrown at him. Once his secret service detail ends in 2019, he would be smart to hire a paramilitary unit to protect him.

I laughed pretty hard, but where the hell was the secret service? I mean yeah it was only a shoe or two, but they didnt know that or what else there might have been and they are no where to be seen. Apparently they hate him as much as everyone else.

So what, you're all cheering on some Baathist apparatchik as your comrade in arms? What does that make you? Sheesh, think a little about this stuff before you start guffawing like Ken Curtis in The Searchers. Haw haw haw.

Love it! Yet another moment to add to the Years Of Bush documentaries.
I can't believe Bush has been surrounded by people who hate him for eight years, and all he's had lobbed at him are a couple of loafers. Lennon gets shot, Bush survives ... there must be something wrong with universal justice these days.

Yes yes, funny... since it was just a shoe and, evidently, his reflexes are sharper than his everything else.
But think about the CONTEXT of whats going on. Whatever else Bush may be, he's the President of The United States; and he's speaking in a public place in a foriegn country durign a war. Someone in the crowd jumps up, shouts angrily, brandishes a weapon... and NOTHING happens! He has time to "fire," reload and "fire" again! WTF!? Why wasn't he tackled the minute he lifted what we'd later find out was a shoe? Why wasn't he (the thrower) full of BULLETS the moment he drew his arm back? What do we have a Secret Service for?
Forget how much you despise Bush for a nanosecond and consider THIS: The same apparatus doing what looks like a dogshit job projecting numbnuts here NOW will be in charge of watching President Obama's back in a month. Think about that. Think about all the people unhappy with Obama, and what types of people some of them may likely be. Think about the figures Obama is most often compared to: MLK. Kennedy. Lincoln. Think about what those three have in common.
Still laughing?

Throwing a shoe at Bush makes the guy a Baathist apparatchik? While you're at it, maybe it makes him a Communist as well.
Muntadar al-Zaidi is an Iraqi journalist working for a Cairo-based television network. He has first-hand experience being kidnapped by a Shiite militia. How does that make him a Baathist apparatchik?

CNN reported that a several of the man's colleagues had been killed and that during his kidnapping he had been tortured, not sure that's the kind of reporter you admit into the pool...then again, maybe that's the typical experience for an Iraqi journalist.
