No, it's weird weather time. 75 degrees here in NC. Nearly 20 degrees hotter than normal, 40 degrees warmer than NYC. Not normal at all. As they say down here: 'Dang!'
I just saw "Let The Right One In." WTF isn't this getting more praise and awards. I've been saying MAN ON WIRE is the film of the year for months, but this might've edged it out. I can't remember the last time I was captivated by a film (TWBB?) and wanting it to be 5 hours long. The atmosphere of this thing alone makes it a classic. But the brilliant minimalism of the thing is what makes it so tight and efficient. I heard they are doing a US remake. Such a shame. I'll never see it. This film is beauty and perfection.

"Winter captures bleak better than any other season...
Fall is a close second. But, winter has such a lonely quality."
You should live in Saskatchewan. Lonely would be a holiday. There are two types of weather; snow and cold and more snow and cold. Today it's minus a million degrees and did I mention the snow. Airport closed Christmas cancelled. Cheers! My husband says we'll take the bus to Edmonton and I'm like yah that's a great idea! Take a Greyhound to Edmonton. Isn't that the place where, while riding the bus...they SAW your head off! Perfect. Yup we'll be just gettin' right on that. Yay!
Merry Christmas!
Lest we get carried away with too much bleakness - may you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I look forward to another year of HE. Thanks for your hard work Jeffrey.
Sadly, it didn't look that beautiful by the time I got out of the movies (FTR, they were DOUBT, which I didn't like at all, and THE CLASS, which I liked, but didn't love), but all slushy and yucky. I do like snow, though.
I love snow. It changes everything. Slows down the crazy world. Sets a pace, which you can't do anything about, no matter how hard you try. My kids keep me young tobogganing etc. Embrace it or move. Makes you really appreciate the seasons.
T.O. got hit hard today, but it is beautiful.

I really hate winter. I was in Saudi Arabia for almost a month (just got back a few days ago) and the weather was real nice over there.

Similar sights in CT. My office closed at 11am. A day of DVD watching begins.

I have tickets to the Met tonight so I'm braving the storm, even if I have to hitch a sled to the rats and cockroaches and mush my way there.

"Why?" Easy -- vampires. They're like garlic and holy water for the Critical Establishment.
I thought it was fantastic.
