There was a big dress rehearsal in Washington, D.C. yesterday for the various inauguration events and festivities. Army Sgt. Derrick Brooks stood in for President-elect Barack Obama and Navy Yeoman 1st Class LaSean McCray stood in for Michelle Obama. But honestly? The photo below gave me pause.

hahahahaha.... that photo is just so funny.
Security is going to be so tight. I'm going and my sister told me that we're not allowed to bring umbrellas (in case it rains) so I'm bringing a raincoat in my bag just in case.
is anybody else going? I've never been to a presidential inauguration before, so this will be my first.

DeafBrown- Funny? Do you mean actually, laugh out-loud, belly-aching, raucously funny?
Because it's not. Unnerving and slightly jarring but ''so funny'' ? Explain how.

actionman: Wells doesn't want it said, so I won't say it. So envision a three-syllable word in which the last syllable rhymes with "made" and apply that to presidential history. At least that's what I think he's thinking.

I had the same reaction myself. Part of me couldn't fully relax and roll during the Denver speech for the same reason.

Calraigh, you really need to lighten up. Have you heard of something called "having a sense of humor"? You don't find that photo funny, but I do.
Don't be such a douche-bag.

I'm planning on going to the speech, but for the past few days I'm thinking I might just be too stressed out. Plus it requires staying in a bar from about noon the day before. And I'll need that contraption from SEMI-TOUGH to piss into.

OK, I'm probably going to look stupid after someone explains it for me, but what's weird about the photo? Apparently my scrabble skills aren't good enough to get Nick Rogers' clue.

Like Nick said, last syllable rhymes with 'made.' The first two rhyme with 'voter'

NotImpressed. We're trying not to say it outright, but think "Oswald." It truly is one of my greatest fears looking at that photo.

If your only comeback for anyone who disagrees with you is "You're a douche-bag!" then perhaps posting comments is not for you. Learn to civilly disagree.

When I first saw that clue this moring (I wasn't getting the hints at all either, Notimpressedyet) all I could come up with was "Escalade." But then I thought "Cadillac makes those, not Chevy. What are they talking about!?!"
I am hoping his entire presidency isn't as nerve-wracking as the inauguration is going to be.

JaySmack, it's been a tradition since Carter that on Inauguration Day that the President walk the last four blocks of the parade, to remind the people that he is one of them, that this is a nation ruled by the people, not a King.
I should mention that in 2001, W notably didn't.
