Hard times call for harsh measures and a constant eye for bargains. I'm offering one to anyone planning to attend the Cannes Film Festival three months from now, but who lacks an expense account. A well-situated, high-ceilinged studio in Old Town that allegedly sleeps four for 1200 euros -- 600 each for two persons, which is how I'd prefer it. Get in touch.

It's early to be thinking about this, I realize. Most of my journalist pals are still detoxing from Sundance and haven't even broached the subject with their editors. But it's not that early. Three months is nothing, goes by in about three or four weeks. And I know from hard experience that 600 euros (what is that, 900 dollars?) is dirt-cheap for Cannes, and this place, to go by the photos, isn't some cramped little jail cell. It's got high ceilings, a bi-level design with a staircase, a tiny kitchen, French windows, ample cushions, and is close to the harbor.

Jeffery,
Does the roomie have to be :
A) a reviewer?
B) a male?
I passed this along to a friend in LA and they could be interested.
