Mr. Cranky

Hollywood & Fine's Marshall Fine has five snippy pisshead complaints about last night's Oscar show. "With the exception of Steve Martin and Tina Fey (who, I would imagine, wrote their own dialogue), the banter between presenters was incredibly thin," he writes. I'm afraid that's true, guys. "Jack Black and Jennifer Aniston gave me chills of embarrassment. While Hugh Jackman's opening number was clever and energetic, nothing he said afterward was worth repeating or remembering."

Jennifer Aniston looked pained. And out of place.

Sophia Loren didn't look very happy about praising Meryl.

Did anyone else feel the film montages (action, romance, etc.,) were a waste of time? They weren't even done well.

I thought the opening number was cheesy.

I liked Ben Stiller and Tina Fey/Steve Martin. I think the Oscar's take themselves too seriously. They aren't giving out Nobel peace prizes up there.

Aniston looked like she was on something, but otherwise, I greatly enjoyed the Oscars last night. I loved the 5 presenter style they had for Actors category, and the Screenplays presentation was delightful, I was happy how they had Tina Fey doing that with Steve Martin, being that she's a screenwriter as well. I was hoping Diablo Cody would be there, I was disappointed they didnt bring her on.

Anniston is so hot it literally pains me to look at her at times. So hot.

Would've loved to see her stagedive onto Angelina Jolie and start the catfight to end all catfights.

I give the show a B. I thought it was entertaining in most spots, and leaned toward Broadway in others. Loved the stage setting, absolutely loved the redesign, much more intimate.
