Twits

I've written the Twitter tech support guys twice over the past week about my password not being accepted on the iPhone despite changing it on the computer. Nothing back. Dicks.

I followed you on Twitter, but haven't seen any tweets from you lately, so I guess I know why.

Are you using Twinkle? (which is the gayest name for an app ever...). Because lots of people are having the same problem with the twinkle app. (in other words, the problem is not with the "dicks" at twitter, if this is, in fact, the problem you're having....).

Try mobiletwitter instead....

Tweetie is a third-party application made by Atebits. It is not affiliated with Twitter. Therefore, they will never reply to your emails.

Could be worse - you could have had a couple of Tweeter tech guys show up to fix it but they were actually a pair of cunning Torontonians who took the phone and ran off.

"Are you using Twinkle?"

Is that the word the hip kids use nowadays to mean a golden shower?

Jason is correct. This is like contacting Amazon when you can't log on to their site when your internet is down. You have to contact whoever made your app.

Also, you should be using Twitterfon. It's better.

Just download Twitterfon from the App Store Icon on your iPhone. It's free. It works fantastically on the iPhone. You will only want to use Twitterfon app for twitter, anyway, on your iphone , when using twitter.

I suggest this as well, Jeff. Start again. Pick a new twitter name and just begin again, FIRST ON Computer, and then on Iphone with Twitterfon.

If you change your twitter name to your real name,(when signing up again, to fix your tech issue there) --I suggest you consider using your real name this time. Or the name of your blog. Why?
Well, a few reasons: You get lots of search engine ranking juice from twitter, but the name has to be the same for that. You also probably want to be recognized by your readers, if you are using twitter as a professional thing, and not purely private and personal.

Best
Dana

Some excellent advice from Dana K there - using your real, entire name on Twitter is the best way to build traffic both from and to HE.

Do let us know once you've landed on an ID so that we can bug you on multiple platforms.
