I ran into this "manif" (i.e., a political parade) just after emerging from the Olympia plex on rue d'Antibes where I'd just seen Angela Ismailos' Great Directors -- a concise and well-shot personal tribute doc about Bernardo Bertolucci, Agnes Varda, Stephen Frears, Todd Haynes, David Lynch, Catherine Breillat, Richard Linklater, Ken Loach and John Sayles. It's a warm reassuring bath of a film, but it's also about Ismailos' golden blonde hair -- a steady presence from start to finish.

Before Sunset is one I can watch over and over again, i fucking love that movie. And the fact that he never sticks to one style or genre and is always trying new things makes him a great director in my opinion.

Instead of sticking to the same old genre it's good to see actors and directors trying to give the audience something new. It's may be a kind of risks but experimenting with new works always attracted the movie goers. Whether the movie becomes a critically acclaimed world sensation or a complete failure, talents can be explored at least. It would be good to see Hugh Grant and Angelina doing some new acts like the action hero Connery whose comeback is an animated movie.
