I fell asleep at this party last night while sitting upright on a sofa. I was sitting there with a glass of champagne, and the next thing I knew a guy was tapping me on the shoulder and saying "Sir? Sir? Are you okay?" The half-filled champagne glass was still in my right hand.

That hotel used to be the Clarion and was a sad, ugly lone highrise depressingly jutting above the tired, beat-up eastern edge of downtown. Now it's the Marriott, right in the heart of it all. Amazing what a billion dollars in city redevelopment and a hotel sprucing can do.

Wells to P. Vice: None of my reactions to those films indicated an easy-lay attitude whatsoever. You want easy lays? People who roll over? Genre fans. And fans of dumb comedies. And Comic-Con fanboys. Their lives are ALL ABOUT ROLLING OVER when a movie comes along that gives them what they wanted before they saw it.
