Crazy Pat (former Nixon boy) always brings up those 2 weeks after McCain tabbed Palin for VP. Pat conveniently omits EVERY OTHER WEEK AFTER. HE is a Born Palin apologist.

Are we really still trying to milk the Palin cow for hits, Jeffrey?
I guess so.
Well, here's one.

Y'know, after all these years there's something bizzarely admirable about what a stick-to-his-guns "pro" at this Buchanan is.
I've got next-to-zero agreement with the man's politics, but I've read most of his major work and watched him for years in various forms. He's obviously WAY too intelligent to actually "buy" half of what he's saying about Palin here, but he'll find a way to keep that "option" open.
Maybe when Palin and her supporters just SHUT THE FUCK UP Jeff will stop writing about her.
Then, and only then, you will be able to stop commenting on EVERY FUCKING THREAD that mentions her about how much you hate how much ATTENTION SHE RECEIVES.
What was your favorite line from Sarah Palin's second resignation speech? Was it:
"So, how 'bout in honor of the American soldier, ya quit makin' things up?"
Or maybe this amazing bit:
"Let me tell you, Alaskans really need to stick together on this with new leadership in this area especially, encouraging new leadership... got to stiffen your spine to do what's right for Alaska when the pressure mounts, because you're going to see anti-hunting, anti-second amendment circuses from Hollywood and here's how they do it. They use these delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlets, they use Alaska as a fundraising tool for their anti-second amendment causes."
Actually, this is our favorite line:
"In the winter time it's the frozen road that is competing with the view of ice fogged frigid beauty, the cold though, doesn't it split the Cheechakos from the Sourdoughs?"
It's like Peggy Noonan, Jack London, and William Faulkner wandered into the woods with three buttons of peyote and one typewriter, and only this speech emerged.
And she wrote this speech! In advance, on paper! What does any of it mean? It is amazing. Twenty years ago she could competently descibe a dog race, three years ago she could articulate a position on the abortion issue, and this weekend she composed a resignation speech by throwing culture war stock phrases into a hat and dumping it upside down on a copy of The Paranoid Style in American Politics.
I don't get the polarized obsession and subsequent exposure over this fabricated icon. Palin would go away if she wasn't being interviewed and noted every time she flashes a smile or opens her mouth. Pole A canonizes her as this political sage who's fighting for "Middle America" with a master plan written by God and an AR-15. Pole B just can't turn off the Palin deconstruction autopilot. Both poles need to realize she's done and has been for months.
In fact, I'd bet I'm not alone in that the only time Sarah Palin crosses my mind is when some media outlet regurgitates her.
"I don't get the polarized reaction over Dick Nixon. He's done and has been for months. His 'You won't have Nixon to kick around any more, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference.." confirms he is gone politically"

Sarah Palin overkill coverage is what you get when cable media is corporate-controlled. Better than actual reporting of actual news.
