Cute. No more, no less. I did love Tom's torn-from-the-headlines subtext: "You abused it, Dave. And when you abuse it, you lose it."

Seriously, is Hanks truly the good-sport nice guy in real life? I'd like to think so. Feel the same way about Springsteen. And Gore Vidal, of course.

Hanks is such a pro. When you see some of the surly motherfuckers on chat shows, like goddamned Barbra Streisand, you really start to understand why Hanks is so beloved to audiences and studios alike. He just seems like a genuinely nice person, good to his showbiz pals, funny, etc. He's not even promoting anything right now, is he?

Josh: He's looking better because he's aging in reverse, like his brother, Benjamin Button.

He still has the gift for comedy...love the way he awkwardly bounds onto the couch. Too bad he's a Serious Actor now who can't be bothered with such things.

I agree, Abbey; he is funny and needs to do some comedy.

I miss the 'Nothing In Common' days. He was at the top of his game at that time.

I feel that his Coen Brothers turn was hilarious and sadly unappreciated. The movie wasn't great, but he was hysterical.

Watched "Punchline" a couple months ago, and that was definitely some of his best work. I also wish he'd mix in some comedies and have a career more in line with what George Clooney is currently doing.

Great bit. Reminds me of how in the beginning years of the CBS show Dave would use Tony Randall for filler gags. Those never failed to crack me up. One night Tony showed up covered in mud, Dave asked him if he'd been at the recent Woodstock concert. "Woodstock, shmoodstock; I was gardening!" Or when one of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models failed to show, he said, "We have the next best thing: Tony Randall in shorts!" The man still wore sock garters!

All these guys, including Springsteen, are balls deep in all kinds of hot pussy. I bet Springsteen has a goombah in every big city and I bet Hanks is boning at least 2-3 girls on the side.

Probably. And the wives are probably okay with it as long as they get the mansion and luxury associated with being married to a megastar.

Hanks is always a good talk show guest, simply because he doesn't turn his back on the past. He'll happily perform the Big rap, show clips from his sitcom cameo days, or discuss anything from Bosom Buddies to The `burbs.

Best of all is when he begins to channel his childhood, geeking out over properties like Bond, Star Trek, Elvis, or The Three Stooges.
