He's not starved for attention, he's performing for tips.
I just want to say, I really think its cute the way that Jeff is responding to NYC. I've lived here so long that I no longer think twice when I see kids performing ridiculous acrobatic stunts on the subway (the guy above is *nothing* compared to some, but performs fairly regularly on the L-train). It's fun to see it through fresh eyes.
I usually cringe when a performer / advocate / panhandler makes us his / her captive audience but at least this guy displayed some good moves and good humor.

BTW DeeZee, might i suggest checking out bit.ly (http://bit.ly/) and entering your links there. That way, you can actually see how many people are clicking on your links. Personally, I think that they are annoying and I have never once clicked on them, but you can truly see if you are providing value or just being a spammer.

I've been on trains where guys will do a continuous roll all the way from one side of the train to the other. Now thats impressive. This guy had a good attitude, so thats always beneficial. Love how the girl on the left reading some paper just continued looking at the paper and barely glanced at the guy. Only in NY kids! I hate NY. Cant wait to move out.

Dont laugh the guy probably panhandles more loot than Wells makes in a year. Thats not knocking Wells but some of these guys do pretty well with an act like that.

Only in NY? Not so much. Even in Sydney when you get someone clowning it up for attention on public transport or in any place where waiting people are forced to be aware of their antics, 99% of people will stare right through them.
