Honored

Gamechangers.com's Mike Bonifer has written a nicely thought-through HE tribute, calling yours truly the October 2009 game-changer of the month. Except his piece was just posted today, 11.12. Why wait 12 days after the end of October to announce this honor? I should either be the November game-changer guy or Bonifer should have run this 30 days ago. Or...whatever, he should have waited until next April.

The site is a promotion for Bonifer's book, "Gamechangers: Improvisation for Business in the Networked World."

Seems like he researched high and low for those 12 days, and couldn't find a more worthy game changer.

Congrats Jeff.

"he commentary by a smart, often-vicious pack of readers are the icing on the cake."

I don't mean this as an insult, Jeff, but I don't understand what "game" you "changed" and, reading that article, I still don't. It's a very nice shout-out, though.

Based on the article, the game changed would be that unlike many other entertainment journalists, Jeff writes stuff that isn't predictable.

Inferring from things in the article, and based on everything, I'd say the game he changed was to be an entertainment writer who makes a living blogging. Very few pull that off, and he was certainly one of the first.

Wells: it took awhile for the judges (me) to tabulate the votes (1) because we were moving into a house we bought in West Adams near downtown L.A.

G27: He changed his own game to adapt to the changing game of entertainment journalism.

Jeff,
Congratulations on being recognized for your fierce independence. I've been a follower since reel.com, and even though you sometimes leave me aghast at your fundamentalist nature...I'm always entertained. Looking forward to many years of continued insight.

Solar - fair enough; I was thinking the "game" was something bigger than just his own game that he had changed, that he had possibly had something (that i missed) to do with the latter changing game to which you refer, but what you're saying makes sense.

Now that I read this short post it really is an interesting question of why to wait 12 days to announce this? Anyway, I hope that after I'll cook a French sandwich on the pan grill that I have on the stove, I hope to read additional information about the subject that I discovered from reading the post above.
