I'll never forget when Islamic fanatics flew those health care bills into the World Trade Center.
Never forget.

As a Canadian observer, I'm so happy to see Americans including Matthew Lucas cool to politicians who are in the health care establishment's bag. I'm one of those awful liberals who trusts government more than the insurance companies. I see medicare in Manitoba looking after my father's doctor visits, homecare assessment visits and weekly trips to a first class health centre for seniors. My father also has some private supplementary insurance from his old job for help with drugs etc. He was just showing me his latest notice from the insurance company full of cutbacks and new limits as he gets older. Then I turn on the American stations I get from Minnesota, North Dakota and other states on cable and I see insurance company and other establishment spots urging viewers to call their local politicians to oppose a public option.I'm sorry I trust politicians more than insurance companies. If I have a concern with our system, I can bring it up when politicians knock on my door at election time. I should note I live in a province that bans corporate and union donations to political parties and limits individuals to I think it is $3,000. Our former premier Gary Doer, now Canada's new ambassador in Washington, D.C., said this reduces lazy politics and makes the average voter more equal. Of course his conservative opposition promised to scrap the rule when back in power.

How many times does this old bitch say "fear" in 64 seconds?
I know the fear card worked pretty well the last eight years, but still?

I think this rep may be trying to jump on the Bachmann/Grayson tactical wagon by lobbing a few grenades.
The problem is with this comment is that even the tea baggers may not be able to swallow this, given they're the ones who tend to drape themselves in the flag and shout 'Remember 9/11!'.
So isn't she agreeing with the Democratic position that the wars in the middle east/Afghanistan were distracting us from our real problems, like the lack of health care for the 8% of the 19% of the 38% who want it but can't afford it? What's your problem, you actually do think we should be fighting to win in Afghanistan after all?
This woman represents Mayberry! And I'm guessing for 4 people in Mt. Airy the other day, a man with an assault rifle was more scary than health care since they were shot dead in the town once patrolled by Barney Fife
When a hate crimes bill was being debated, this same woman claimed that Matthew Sheppard being killed because he was a "homosexual" was just a hoax. Making it even worse was that his mother was there to support the bill.
"and if you didn't pick up on it, my argument is that you're acting like a douchebag!"
Who says I'm acting?
Anyway, I continue to find it sad that the word among today's youngsters for someone who has different opinions from you is "douchebag." Maybe Obama would be winning more of these legislative fights if people on his side had any experience actually making solid arguments, not just calling names and crying crocodile tears. It's for the children!
Yes those who can't make arguments are on Pres. Obama's side. Right.
That's why people like Palin, Hatch, Gingrich and co. making up bill additions (ie "death panels) and using inflammatory language to kill this thing. That's not efficient debate, it's red herring.

I'm ashamed to say that woman is my representative. I've voted against her every time but she's pretty well entrenched. Despicable.

How sad and delusional. I have no doubt that she sleeps with a clear conscious knowing that she's "fighting the good fight."
