Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will be Blood (Paramount Vantage, 12.26) will begin a series of journo and industry screenings in mid November, but for those who can't wait (i.e., persons like myself) it's getting a special sneak preview at San Francisco's Castro on Monday, November 5th. Thanks to HE reader Randy Matthews for sending all the info.

Blood, blood, blood, all this talk about blood, archetypal blood that reposes in the Platonic ideal.
Now, that this film is in the can, please Mr. Anderson get on with the Ghoulardi film featuring Dorothy Fuldheim, Lynn "Barnaby" Sheldon, Jim Brown, Tim Conway, Shonder Burns, Mushy Wexler, Arthur B. Modell, Ruben Sturman, Drew Carey's mentor Gene Carroll, Mr. Jing-a-ling who kept the keys at Halle Berry's namesake, and all the others that made Cleveland such an industrial phantasmagoria in which to grow up.
Back in the day, you didn't need "The Sopranos" or "Twin Peaks." If you were paying attention, it happened in front of your face, next door, in the papers, or on the nightly news.

And to think I almost missed it because I didn't recognize the marquee. Wasn't paying attention and I thought it was another Wells shot of a theater in LA somewhere.
Tickets bought! Now why didn't they do this with Jesse James?
