Only one thing pops out in my memories of Bo Derek, who will hit 70 on 11.20.26 (and good for her), and that’s the shame I felt on her behalf after catching John Derek‘s Tarzan, The Ape Man in the summer of ’81.
Derek, the director, created a deplorable, self-satirizing piece of merd.
I also felt terribly for poor Richard Harris, who was 50 when Tarzan was shot in Sri Lanka in February of ’81. He played Derek’s bellicose dad.
Yes, I saw Blake Edwards‘ 10 but for some reason I can’t remember a single thing about it…not a scene, not a line. Okay, I remember the footage of Derek jogging on the beach in Malibu colony.
The conservative-leaning Derek has been with My Big Fat Greek Wedding’s John Corbett since roughly ’02. They were married in 2020.
