…requires that if you’ve accidentally or absent-mindedly claimed that a day-old story written by a competitor is your own “exclusive”…basic etiquette requires an apology and an acknowledgment that you erred in claiming said “exclusive” as your own.
We’re all human and humans make mistakes every so often. So just cop to the error and use the words “oops!” and “sorry!” and the issue is more or less settled…right?
