An actual full-size replica of North by Northwest‘s Phillip Vandamm home…the swanky, modernist, cantilevered super-pad, located near the top of Mount Rushmore…the one that Cary Grant sneaks into at the end of Act Three…this grand Frank Lloyd Wright knockoff (the Hitchcock version was basically a large sound-stage set plus some matte paintings) has been built for real in Park City, Utah, and it’s selling for $45 million.
The address is 3968 Pinnacle Sky Loop, which is located within The Promontory Club, a luxury, members-only gated community in the mountains. We’re talking far, far away from the Eccles theatre and downtown Park City…way out in the boonies.
The “architecture enthusiasts” behind the design and construction are John Boccardo and Derek Esplin.
