No Sorkin? What A Bummer for the Venice Film Festival

Earlier today World of Reel‘s Jordan Ruimy exclusively reported that Aaron Sorkin‘s The Social Reckoning will not be submitted to the 2026 Venice Film Festival, due to a decision to shoot extra footage sometime later this summer.

This in itself tells us Sorkin’s film is in trouble.

This is bad, bad, bad for Venice. No Sorkin, no Tony Gilroy (Behemoth!), no Joel Coen (Jack of Spades), no Inarritu (Digger), no Fincher (The Adventures of Cliff Booth).
