The other Graham Platner shoe has dropped, and this is so effing depressing. I can’t stand it. Politics is such a filthy, scummy game. My Platner hopes have been dashed.
What did Jenny Racicot, who allegedly supports Platner politically, think she was accomplishing by torpedoing his U.S. Senate campaign? The alleged incident happened five years ago and as repellent as it apparently was, it’s water under the bridge.
If I was in Jenny’s shoes, I would have said “it’s ugly but I’m letting it go. Because what’s the point?”
Instead Jenny felt “nope…he was a pig that night and has to pay. And if the Democrats lose their potential Senate majority, so be it.”
HE to Racicot: “Way to go, Jenny. You’ve probably re-elected Susan Collins! Perhaps the Senate will now remain Republican-controlled, thanks to you. You’ve singlehandedly managed to crush the hopes and dreams of millions of anti-Trumpies. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
