A few days ago some HE sophistos were putting down some shoes I was wearing. (Although most of their ire was reserved for the socks.) The designer/maker is John Varvatos. I knew the second I put them on that they’re one of the most sturdy, comfortable, well designed shoes I’ve ever worn. And I got them for about 40% of what Varvatos is asking on his website.
