And yet most of the time I hit the megaplex for one of two reasons: (a) when I’m sensing something culturally seismic or at least commercially significant in the offing or (b) I’m looking to get my hate-on…strangely looking forward to suffering so I can use that experience to spew acid and lob grenades.
Otherwise I’m perfectly content to stream new stuff and watch 4K Blurays.
Film festivals will always be my preferred venue…the only way to experience glorious surprises and exceptional joy.
