Narrated by Tom Cruise, Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures is a very commendable portrait of a great filmmaker. Longer, pricier, more famous-facey, glossier, more probing and explorational and certainly more adoring than the 21-minute MUBI profile, which was posted two years ago by Cinema Tyler. And yet I prefer the MUBI. Really.
