Everyone knew The Meg was throwaway junk and they didn’t care. $96.8 million overseas, $44.5 million domestic = $141.3 million. In my review I said “I didn’t hate The Meg, but I didn’t believe a second of it.” I also called it a wank that’s structured like a kind of musical. That’s probably how everyone took it.
