Angelo Bertolotti, the 87-year-old father of the late Brittany Murphy, is alleging that his daughter…I can’t do this. I can’t report about allegations that a 32 year-old actress whose career was on the skids may have been iced by government spooks with rat poison or insecticide…please. Especially when it’s been alleged that Murphy was killed “because she spoke out in support of Julia Davis, a Department of Homeland Security whistleblower” blah blah.

Too icky, too weird, too dicey.

Murphy’s decision to hook up with notorious conman-scumbag Simon Monjack, who curiously died five months after Murphy’s passing, clearly indicated some kind of blindspot or obsessive element in her personality. I’m now presuming (or at least entertaining the notion) that this characteristic may have been inherited.

True, it always seemed weird that the relatively young Murphy and Monjack died within five months of each other, but they weren’t important enough to kill or even frown at. And even if they had been important enough, Bertolotti and Davis’s allegation would still feel borrowed from the Mohammed Al-Fayed playbook.

In an 11.15 report for Examiner.com, Davis wrote that “scientists at Carlson Company Laboratories found ten heavy metals in Brittany’s system which were several times higher than World Health Organization high levels at the time of her death. ‘If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent,’ the report says.

The L.A. coroner’s report ruled that Murphy’s death “was caused by community acquired pneumonia, iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication.” The coroner apparently didn’t test for poisons.
