The surprise, for me, is that X-Men: First Class dropped between 53% and 55% for a second-place showing of $25 million. I thought it would decline more in the range of 25% to 30%. I was under the distinct impression that word-of-mouth was somewhere between very good and excellent on Matthew Vaughn‘s film.
