The hilarious part about Vertical Entertainment’s “hit back at the critics” ad is the chanting of the crowd…”GottEE!, GottEE!, GottEE!” Presumably the makers had to round up a few people to stand in front of a mike and chant. Were they professional actors (doubtful) or Vertical Entertainment employees or…? I wish I knew the story behind this.

By the way: I never saw Robert Harmon‘s Gotti (’96), an allegedly so-so HBO drama that starred Armand Assante, William Forsythe, Anthony Quinn and three guys who would later turn up on The SopranosVincent Pastore, Dominic Chianese, Tony Sirico. The reviews were nothing to shout about, but they at least indicate that it was semi-watchable. It isn’t streaming but this morning I found an HD version on YouTube.
